I am a software consultant and owner of S-Mach, a software consultancy specializing in all things Scala. S-Mach provides Scala consulting services, develops open-source libraries and provides training and mentoring to the Scala community.
I also run the Scala meetup group in Atlanta (http://www.meetup.com/atlanta-scala/).
I fell in love with Scala and strongly-typed functional programming 5 years ago and haven’t looked back since! It has become my daily joy to code in Scala, writing terse, immutable, type-safe, functional, and fully asynchronous code.
I am a life-optimizer. I’m dedicated to the solution and never pass up an opportunity to improve my circumstances or the circumstances of those around me. I believe in continual self-improvement, team-improvement and organization-improvement.
In my free time, I pursue my passions: open-source technologies, functional programming, artificial intelligence, neuroscience, improv, swing and cuban salsa, French and fitness.

May your day be awesome!
